Joseph Tan has over 14 years of experience as an audiologist. Prior to this, he conducted research at prestigious institutions such as the University of Adelaide, Women's and Children Hospital, and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he earned his PhD in medicine. Additionally, he served as a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher, focusing on innovative viral and immunotherapy treatments for lung cancers, before obtaining a Master of Audiology from Flinders University.
As an audiologist, Joseph is committed to providing personalized hearing solutions tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances. He values evidence-based practices, which is why he chose to work independently rather than in a retail setting. He believes in prioritizing services for individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
As an independent provider, Joseph has access to hearing devices from all manufacturers, allowing him to select the most suitable options with the latest technology to meet his clients' needs and budgets. He is registered with Audiology Australia and is a certified Hearing Service Program provider. Additionally, he holds a Medicare provider number and is an approved provider for ReturnToWork SA.
Outside of work, Joseph enjoys various hobbies including playing badminton, bushwalking, cycling, photography, and playing the violin.
